I’m Jason Cox, Judge of Harris County Probate Court #3, a probate and mental health court. I was elected to the bench in 2018, and when I was sworn in I took an oath to faithfully execute my duties as judge and to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States and of Texas.
My oath to the people of Harris County
I promised to increase transparency, improve efficiency, and work every day with and for our community. I’ve stayed true to my oath, and I’ve kept those promises.
Probate courts play a profound role in our community, and if you find yourself in one you’re probably going through one of the most difficult and vulnerable times in your life – you may be there because a loved one has died, because someone in your life can no longer take care of themselves, or because someone you care about is suffering from mental health or substance abuse problems.
From the very beginning I said, ‘we are a court that faces outward and embraces the challenges and rewards of public service.’ This continues to be true, and with your support we can continue this track record of excellence for another four years.
